Mr. Jae Hoon Kim is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has treated many in different walks of life. He is from science background himself, working at NASA for 12 years as a scientific analyst. Since then, he has about 20 years of experience in health care, and 8 years as an NP.
He earned his nursing degree with a full scholarship at University of Virginia clinical nurse leader program. As an RN and later an NP, he has worked with those with history of trauma and abuse, as well as those with bipolar, psychotic disorders, as well as substance use disorder. He also worked with many with treatment-resistant depression.
He is astute and thorough in assessing history and symptoms. Mr. Kim realizes the importance of providing collaborative care bridging physical and mental Health. One of his interests is to work with persons with psycho-somatic comorbidities and improve interactions with their general and specialty physicians.
